F - O - R - E

I have finally downloaded the pictures of my golf outing last week at Foxfire with my co-workers. We had a great time! I was terrible, but thank goodness it was a scramble. I seem to only play golf about once a year. I wish I could get out more, but I do not have any girlfriends who like to golf. :-(

I feel so chunky in this picture! I call myself LW's Chunky Monkey!

While golfing we spotted a fawn playing around the bushes. I was able to get close enough to snap a great picture of her!!!

Needless to say the day ended with a few beers in me and a nice little sunburn that I took to Ocean City! he he he

Scaling Down

I saw a number on the scale I did not like.

Damn I feel like a pig.

Back to Nancy for some hard core workouts.

Ocean City, Maryland

What a great trip!!! Lawrence and I had so much fun that it's hard to recap the entire trip. :-)

Thursday we left Columbus at 3:30am. UGH The drive was long, so when we checked into our hotel, we decided to take a nap. After the nap we got dressed and went to Fagers Island for appetizers and drinks.

After drinks we walked up and down the Boardwalk trying to find a bar to hang out at. Low and behold we came across a bar called Conners Sail Loft Deck Bar. AWESOME Grapesickles, but I swear if I smell grapes for awhile I might puke. Needless to say I had one too many. We met some really nice people at the bar...Nate (who worked at Fagers), his girlfriend Cheryl, sisters, Julie and Kristy and some random bar guy Todd and of course the best bartender around...Joey!!!!

Once I was drunk enough it was time to get back to the hotel. On the way back to the car we ran into Spongebob. I had to push a million kids out of the way to get this picture!!!

After a long nights sleep and some belly aching about how I'll never drink again, we got up and headed to the beach on Friday. The beach was beautiful, but the water was freaking cold!!!!!!! We splashed around for a bit, but decided we were too tired and went back to the hotel for a shower and a nap. HA God we're old!!!!

After a shower we headed to Dumsers for ice cream and Seacrets for an early dinner and to scope out Seacrets for Saturday night. The bar/restaurant is practically all outdoors. It was so amazing, even though the food left a little to be desired. There are plenty of DJS, bands, bars, outdoor areas to hang at when you're at Seacrets and there is SAND everywhere! It's called Jamaica USA for good reason.

After an early dinner we headed back to the hotel for a nap. We got up late, so we were rushing to meet Nate, a security person, at Fagers Island. Luckily we made it before they started charging cover. Nate was gonna get us in for free though. :-) We missed sunset at Fagers but the drinks were good and we danced the night away. Another drunken night after I swore off alcohol in the morning!!!!

Saturday morning we got up early and headed to the Boardwalk to watch the Toyota Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament. LW was in heaven as he loves volleyball. We spent a long afternoon watching volleyball on the beach. I managed to score a nice sunburn!!! Once we were finished with watching volleyball we headed to The Dough Roller on the Boardwalk for a slice of yummie pizza! After pizza it was back to the hotel for a dip in the pool and then a nap. Can we be any older? HA!

Once we caught our nap we got dressed and headed to Phillips Crab House for the all you can eat buffet. The food was fantastic! We didn't even have to wait in that long of a line to get in. I will say that place is pretty popular! After dinner we headed to Seacrets for drinks and dancing. We danced the night away to several DJS and an awesome reggae band. We had so much fun!!!!

And then there was the long ass drive home...HA!

Do I really have to go back to work?

Going to the beach!

I cannot wait to have a few uninterupted days ALONE with LW. We are packing up the car and heading to Ocean City, MD for a long weekend. Something both of us desperately need. I'm looking forward to long walks on the beach, kissing under the stars, and laughing until my stomach hurts.

Let's hope the rain stays away!

Sharing Space

It's odd to think back to what my life was like without Lawrence in it. I spent a lot of time alone dreaming about what it would be like to have someone in my life again. Someone to help around the house, someone to help cook, someone to lean on, someone to hold me. Now my days are filled with LW. We spend so much time together...good quality time. We talk, we laugh, we sit in silence, snuggling watching tv, we cook together, we clean up together.

Sharing my home and my life with him has been wonderful. It's gone so far as him even having a 'drawer' at my house. :-) Most weeks we spend 6 days together...other weeks it's only 4 because he has his youngest daughter those weekends. But as time passes, I will be meeting his daughters and spending time with them. I am actually looking forward to it. I want to be their friend and be someone they can talk to.

Today LW and I car pooled together and he made mention of us getting a family pass to the Y. What? We are a family now? My heart melted.

So folks, there it is. I'm definately no longer single. And I'm definately NEVER going to be single again. The more time I spend with LW the more I fall in love with him.

I forgot ~ 4th of July

On the 4th of July Lawrence drove me to my mom's grave site, where I quietly got out of the car alone and walked peacefully to my mom's grave. I then placed a flag at her grave near where her friends have been placing pennies (my mom always picked up spare change!). I kissed my hand and placed it on her grave stone and whispered "I love you."

I turned away and walked alone in silence.

I got back into the car as a small tear rolled down my cheek. When I looked up, there sat the most amazing, caring man in the world who asked if I was okay and let me quietly grieve in private as he drove us home.

I'm a moody turd.

Why did God create me this way? I have zero reason to be down other than from time to time thoughts of my mom make me sad. Poor Lawrence told me today at lunch that he can't follow my thoughts sometimes. He said I'm all over the place! LOL I guess the problem is, I'm ready to say I love you and I'm scared. So I'm hoping he'll say it and I'm sure he's hoping I say it! ARRGGHHH I'm literally almost in tears right now because of nothing! We're not fighting, I'm not mad at him or anyone else. Work is okay, my friends are all good, I'm healthy, my bills are not behind, etc. So why must I choose to feel this way?

Yes my lovely 'friend' is in town, but usually I have this under control. You know though...I started back on the birth control this month, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. HUMPH I hate this.

So what I do is act like a turd and make Lawrence wonder what in the hell is wrong with me! Good thing he's so understanding. God did give me the perfect man!

I'm getting married.

HA now that I've got your attention, I am NOT getting married. But according to my co-workers I am!! My friend Marcus had a dream last night that I was engaged. That would be nice, but nope it's not true. Then my friend James at work said that I would be engaged by December. Anyone care to place a wager on this? While I love and care for LW, I'm not quite sure I'm ready to hear wedding bells. Would I say NO if he asked me to marry him? Heck no. I know he's the one. It feels right in every way. But are we ready? Probably not. But maybe soon. :-)

Trees!

Here are the new trees that Sarah's hubby planted for me. They look fantastic!! I'm in love with my back yard now (btw that is not my house in the background. I took the picture standing on my back porch).

I'm a poopy head.

Sometimes I'm so moody that it doesn't help me any.

LW experienced this last night.

And what? He still wanted to walk to lunch with me today?

He's a keeper.
